Police say a 41-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with sexual assault of a minor and sexual interference.
In a news release issued Tuesday, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said Marklester Cruz was arrested and charged on July 30.
Police said they believe “vulnerable youth from the community” have spent time at his home in northwest Edmonton. They added investigators believe there could be other victims related to their investigation who have yet to come forward.
“The EPS believes his interactions within the community may have brought him into contact with other young and/or vulnerable individuals who have not yet been identified,” police wrote in the news release.

EPS said Cruz was released on Friday with conditions:
He is prohibited from possessing any weapons, including firearms, ammunition, explosives, knives or other items that could be used to cause injury or intimidate others. He is prohibited from going to parks, swimming areas, schools, daycare centres, community centres or any other locations where children under 16 are present or are reasonably expected to be present.
