Tuesday’s WNBA schedule saw Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings clinch the final playoff spot with a 96-78 win over the Portland Fire. Bueckers finished with 22 points and 11 assists, while Jessica Shepard added 21 points as Dallas secured its first postseason berth since 2023. The result also means Portland has been eliminated from playoff contention.
With Dallas taking the final spot, the eight-team playoff field is set. The Minnesota Lynx, Golden State Valkyries, Las Vegas Aces, Atlanta Dream, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, Washington Mystics have all clinched postseason berths. Portland joins the Chicago Sky, Los Angeles Sparks, Connecticut Sun, Phoenix Mercury, Toronto Tempo and Seattle Storms as the eliminated teams.
Wednesday brings two games, with the playoff-bound Valkyries visiting the Sun before the Tempo face the Storm to close the night.

The Valkyries (26-11) currently sit second in the WNBA standings. Golden State is four games behind Minnesota and seven games left on its regular season schedule.
The Sun return to action on the second night of a back-to-back after defeating Chicago on Tuesday. Connecticut has the second worst record in the WNBA (10-27). The Valkyries won their first two meetings with the Sun this season.

The final game of the night is a battle between two bottom teams. The Tempo and Storm sit 13th and 15th in the WNBA standings, respectively. Wednesday’s matchup offers both teams an opportunity to end a difficult stretch.
Both teams have won just one of their last ten games. Seattle has lost three straight entering Wednesday, while Toronto will be seeking to bounce back after Sunday’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
