An eight-month-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert Thursday evening has been found safe, police say.
The alert, which was sent out just after 6 p.m., was cancelled 40 minutes later when the boy was located.
There is no immediate word on whether the suspect in the case has also been found.
Peel Regional Police (PRP) requested Ontario Provincial Police to issue the alert.
A PRP spokesperson said they were called to the area of Steeles Avenue and Bartley Bull Parkway around 3:15 p.m.
They added that it’s not a case of parental abduction but did not elaborate further than saying it’s family-oriented.
