A golf course clubhouse was destroyed in a massive fire in southern Ontario.
Ontario Provincial Police said that emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Bluewater Highway (Highway 21) at Bayfield Road just after 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
That’s in the Municipality of Central Huron, which is south of Goderich.
Huron County OPP officers, the Bluewater Fire Department, and Huron County Paramedics all responded to the scene.
“As a result of the fire, the golf course clubhouse at that location sustained a total loss,” OPP said.
The Bluewater Golf Course and Campground is located there.
Firefighters have since extinguished the blaze.
In a post on social media, the business said the golf course is now closed until further notice.
“Thank you to our staff for their hard work and quick response. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the first responders who attended the fire so quickly. Your prompt response and dedication are truly appreciated,” the post said.
