Breanna Stewart Under 20.5 Points (-125) vs. Golden State Valkyries

Steve Bulanda: If you’ve been following along all season, you know that I was on fire with my picks, but I’ve been struggling since the All-Star break. However, I’m leaning on one of the awesome tools at RotoWire for my pick Thursday. ProBets is showing sharp money being staked on Stewart going under her points total. However, I’m never going to just blindly follow a tool. I’m going to use it as a starting point and then find if there’s compelling evidence to tail the pick. In this case, I like what I found. She’s coming off back-to-back 22-point games, so one could argue that she’s trending up, but I’ll bank on the fact that she has scored over 20 points in three consecutive games just once all season. Then, most importantly, there’s the matchup. Golden State has dominated New York this year, while holding Stewart to 15 and 18 points in the first two games.
Kiki Iriafen Over 14.5 Points (-115) at Phoenix Mercury
DraftKings Sportsbook, 4:50 p.m. ET
Jason Shebilske: This line at DraftKings Sportsbook is appealing for multiple reasons Thursday. First, the odds on the over are -115 on DraftKings compared to -130 on FanDuel. Iriafen is also in the midst of a hot streak in which she’s scored at least 18 points in five consecutive appearances, including an 18-point performance against Phoenix on Tuesday. She was held to 12 points during Washington’s meeting with the Mercury on Aug. 9, but I’m expecting her momentum to continue during Thursday’s matchup, especially since the Mercury are now playing without DeWanna Bonner in the frontcourt.
