In the world of high-end real estate, a price cut isn’t always the solution for a home that’s lingering on the market. Sometimes, swapping brokers is in order. At least Alec and Hilaria Baldwin seem to be hoping that does the trick as they make a fourth attempt to offload their ten-acre Hamptons retreat. Alec bought the farmhouse-style home in Amagansett 30 years ago—and initially wanted $29 million for it back in 2022. The asking price is now $10 million cheaper, sitting just below $19 million.
Over on the West Coast, another celebrity couple is also parting with their longtime estate: actors Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. just lopped roughly $500,000 off the asking price of their Los Angeles residence. Elsewhere, a triplex condo designed by the late Pritzker Prize–winning architect Frank Gehry just hit the market in Santa Monica, while a Bauhaus-inspired gem in Berkeley is also seeking a new owner. Fourth time’s the charm? Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have once again put their Hamptons home on the market. The price is the same as the last time the couple tried offloading the ten-acre property in June: $18.995 million. But now they have a new real estate agent, Lori Schiaffino of Compass. The farmhouse-style house will look familiar to fans of their short-lived TLC reality show, The Baldwins. The couple originally listed the estate in 2022 for $29 million, meaning they’ve cut a total of 34.5 percent off the first asking price.
A Frank Gehry Loft Hits the Market

A Santa Monica loft building by Frank Gehry has a triplex for sale.
Pritzker Prize–winning architect Frank Gehry passed away last year at age 96, leaving behind a towering legacy that included the unfinished Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, set to open in December. Now, you can own one of his earlier creations, as a residential loft in a 1992 Santa Monica complex just hit the market for $2.39 million. The six-unit building was designed in conjunction with Gehry’s close friend, artist Chuck Arnoldi, and originally served as artist studios and lofts. The three-bedroom triplex, which spans nearly 2,600 square feet, is listed with Brandon Assanti of The Agency.

At the end of May, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. put their family’s longtime Los Angeles home on the market for $10.5 million. Now, they’ve lowered the home’s asking price to $9.95 million. The beloved ’90s actors met while filming the 1997 horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer and got married in 2002. They originally bought the Brentwood estate, which sits on a third of an acre and comes with an outdoor pool, in August 2013 for $6.1 million and raised their two children there.
A Bauhaus-Inspired Silicon Valley Gem

A rare Bauhaus-style gem in California needs a new steward.
In the 1950s, long before Apple, Google, and Facebook turned Silicon Valley into a veritable tech mecca, the Bay Area was home to a pioneering physicist named Arthur Frederic Kip. Kip helped lay the groundwork for today’s computers and smartphones with his trailblazing research in solid-state physics. When it came time to build his own Northern California house, Kip tapped emerging architect Donald Olsen, who studied under Walter Gropius and worked for Eero Saarinen, to craft a three-bedroom home on a sloping site in Berkeley.
Olsen responded with a 1,900-square-foot house that embodied Bauhaus principles, with clean-lined geometries, wide expanses of glass, and sly pops of color, such as the top floor’s bright red balcony. Listed for only the second time in its history, the house is asking $1.425 million with Anna Bellomo of District Homes.

One of America’s oldest structures is for sale in upstate New York.
Set in upstate New York’s scenic Mohawk Valley, the Glen Sanders Mansion is one of the oldest homes in the United States. It dates to 1713, with some materials incorporated from an earlier structure built in 1655. The three-story Colonial manor was in the Glen-Sanders family for six generations and 266 years, and it’s believed to have hosted prominent historical figures including George Washington and the Duke of Orléans. Now an inn and popular wedding venue, the historic estate just hit the market for $8 million.
