Gastown BIA
What: You’re going to want to make Sundays your new excuse to head to Gastown, because Water St is going car-free this summer.
Every Sunday from July 5 through Sept. 6, Water St will transform into a pedestrian-friendly hub for Gastown Summer Set. Expect live DJs, outdoor coffee parties, flower markets, art battles, patio dining, pop-up activations, games, and plenty of surprises.
Stretching from Richards St to Columbia St, the weekly series turns Gastown into an open-air playground where every visit offers something different.

What: The hills are alive with the sound of music at Sea to Sky Gondola. The popular attraction is hosting a variety of acclaimed musicians throughout the summer, including The Whiskeydicks on Aug. 14 and Taylor James on Sept. 4.

What: On Wednesday, Sept. 2, Science World is hosting one of its 19+ After Dark events, inviting visitors to learn “the science behind sleight of hand, misdirection, and illusion.”
A number of notable Vancouver magicians will headline the night, including Alex Zander, two-time World Champion Shawn Farquhar, and globally renowned magician Billy Hsueh.
Further, for anyone who’s wanted to show off with a magic trick, there will be the opportunity to learn how to do so.

Greendale Acres
Chilliwack Corn Maze, a popular destination for families and adventurers, is now open for another season of fun.
Greendale Acres’ iconic maze is celebrating its 28th year in 2026, and the new design of the massive cornfield has longtime fans buzzing with excitement. In addition to the giant corn maze, there are tractor and hay rides, farm animals, children’s activities, and more.

What: The Vancouver Aritzia warehouse sale typically offers customers 50 to 90 per cent off retail prices. This year, Aritzia says there will be “coveted styles — including jackets, coats, dresses, blouses, denim, pants, skirts, accessories and more.”
Aritzia also says that new styles will be arriving daily.

What: The free Fringe Patio music series, located at Ocean Artworks on Granville Island, is a showcase of local musicians running from Sept. 5 to 20.
It kicks off Labour Day weekend with Parlour Panther, Hyaenas, Cowboy Bebop Bebop Band, Krystle Dos Santos, and Alvaro Rojas 5tet, all co-presented with Coastal Jazz and Blues Society. The full schedule is available online.

What: The City of Vancouver has opened a temporary 18-hole mini golf experience in Stanley Park. The new attraction will be open to guests until the fall.
Go on a golf adventure through a whimsical mini-golf wonderland created with an artful take on geometric patterns. All ages are welcome to come take a swing.

What: Vancouver’s largest Dutch celebration takes place this weekend on Granville Street with flowers, food, and lots of fun for the entire family.
The fourth year of the event will feature Whitecaps and Vancouver FC watch parties, gin and pilsner beer gardens, live music and swing dancing lessons.
There’s also going to be Indonesian Rijsttafel, Bloemenmarkt, bitterballen, stroopwafels, films, Rijksmuseum Slavernij exhibit, urban design displays and a bike valet.

Big Splash Water Slide Park
What: Big Splash Water Slide Park in Tsawwassen is closing out the summer season in style. The seven-acre resort-style park features 13 body and tube slides, a kids’ zone, hot tubs, and more to help you beat the heat.
Big Splash’s highlight is the Boomerango, an exhilarating tube slide with a six-story drop. According to the park, it’s the only one of its kind in Western Canada.
