They’re making tracks for a new spot.

It seems Sushi Aboard is departing for a new location.

The Vancouver sushi restaurant, well-known for its sushi train cars (which deliver fresh dishes to the tables), has announced it’ll be closing its space at 1047 Denman St.

“We want to send a massive thank you to our local West End community and every single customer who has walked through our doors over the years,” reads the post on Instagram.

The last day in the West End will be Monday, Sept. 7 (though the restaurant is typically closed Mondays and Tuesdays).

However, while the end is nigh for Sushi Aboard in the West End, it’s not the end of the business.

“We’re currently hard at work behind the scenes getting our next location ready! The journey isn’t over—we’re just prepping for the next chapter,” reads the post.

Sushi Aboard opened on Denman in 2020, the first in Vancouver with a bullet train-styled sushi delivery system. Prior to Sushi Aboard, the address was home to a few restaurants, including Grove Inn Restaurant, Fusion Bay Vietnamese & Western Cuisine, and Cacao 70.
