Shots were fired in two areas of Brampton overnight.

Police Regional Police said they were called to Queen Street and Kennedy Road in Brampton for reports of shots fired at around 8:45 p.m. 

Shell casings were found, police said.

A large police presence was in the area as police investigated. Roads were closed, but had reopened by 11:20 p.m.

There was no suspect information.

A second call came in around 12:30 a.m., a short distance away, at Hurontario Street and Gillingham Drive, police said on X.

Again, there were reports of gunfire in the area.

This time, “numerous” shell casings were located.

Police said the gunfire appeared to be an isolated incident.
