A former Brampton lawyer, Pawanjeet Singh Mann, 52, is facing serious charges after allegedly defrauding clients of approximately $4.3 million through fraudulent mortgage schemes. Operating from PJ Mann Law Professional Corporation, located in Brampton, Mann’s alleged illegal activities surfaced between late 2019 and August 2026. His legal licence was revoked by the Law Tribunal of Ontario in July 2025 after it was found that he knowingly participated in mortgage fraud.
Peel Regional Police began their investigation in August 2026 after receiving multiple complaints. Mann was arrested on August 21, 2026, and now faces multiple charges including four counts of fraud over $5,000 and three counts of criminal breach of trust. Police are urging any additional victims to come forward with information by contacting the fraud bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 3335.
