Arc’teryx opened on Friday a new three-level Alpha Store in Montreal.

Located at 1133 Saint-Catherine Street West, the 9,599-square-foot location replaces the brand’s longstanding Sainte-Catherine Street store and offers an expanded space.
The new store is built around the brand’s Alpha Store concept, which is designed to serve as a hub for community connection and outdoor experiences. A dedicated community space provides a place for Montréal’s outdoor community to gather, with programming such as run clubs and climbing groups.
Another focus of the new location is ReBird, Arc’teryx’s in-store platform for care and repair, resale and upcycling. The Montreal store features an expanded ReBird Service Centre, including a dedicated Repair Operator space offering full repair services, as well as a ReBird Resale area where customers can shop refurbished Arc’teryx products.
“Making these services more accessible to our guests is incredibly important to us,” said Dominique Showers, VP, ReBird at Arc’teryx. “By investing in ReBird at the store level, we’re making it easier for people to care for the gear they already own and keep it in use for as long as possible.”
Designed by MGB Architecture and Joseph Tontodonat, the opening represents Arc’teryx’s largest investment in its Montreal retail presence to date. The store takes visual cues from the mountain environment and incorporates references to Arc’teryx’s Montreal history.
Arc’teryx opened its first-ever Canadian retail store on Sainte-Catherine Street in 2006.
“Montreal is an incredibly important market for Arc’teryx and has been part of our retail story from the very beginning,” said Megan Cheesbrough, VP, North America retail at Arc’teryx.
“This new Alpha Store reflects our continued commitment to the city and gives us the opportunity to evolve how we show up for our guests, creating a more immersive environment that brings together the very best of Arc’teryx under one roof.”
