TIMMINS – A potable water station is available for people affected by a watermain break to fill up containers.
The Mountjoy area (west of the Mattagami River) is being impacted by the repairs, which are expected to take until about 4 p.m.
Homes and businesses may have no water, low water pressure or coloured water.
People wanting to fill up containers can stop by the Archie Dillon Sportsplex where City of Timmins staff will be on-site to help.
Once the water is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory for all users west of the Mattagami River Bridge will be in effect.
People should bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it to drink, make formula, brush teeth or other domestic purposes.
The advisory remains in effect until two satisfactory samples are collected consecutively at least 24 hours apart.
