CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women’s soccer team returns to the road on Thursday, Sept. 3, traveling to Burlington, Vt., to take on the University of Vermont at 6 p.m. at Virtue Field. The game will stream live on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT


Boston College enters Thursday’s matchup with a 4-0-0 record after earning a 1-0 victory over Dartmouth on Aug. 30.
Freshman Addy Kalaw scored the lone goal of the match in the 71st minute, while Faith Fenwick recorded three saves to earn the first shutout of her collegiate career.
The Eagles outshot Dartmouth, 17-13, and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks while maintaining 52 percent possession.
BC has scored 13 goals through its first four games while allowing just three.

KALAW MAKING AN IMPACT


Freshman Addy Kalaw has made an immediate impact in her first season with the Eagles, recording three goals and one assist for seven points through four games.
Kalaw has scored in three of BC’s four games this season, finding the back of the net against Siena, St. John’s and Dartmouth.
Her goal against Dartmouth came in the 71st minute and proved to be the game-winner, marking her first collegiate game-winning goal.
Kalaw also recorded her first collegiate assist in BC’s 3-1 victory at Cornell.
She has registered eight shots and three shots on goal through the first four games, averaging 1.75 points per game.
Kalaw’s three goals are tied for the team lead, while her seven points rank second on the Eagles.

OFFENSE OFF TO A FAST START


The Eagles have scored 13 goals through their first four games, averaging 3.25 goals per game.
BC has received goals from eight different players and has recorded 12 assists on its 13 goals.
The Eagles have outshot their opponents, 73-40, and hold a 37-18 advantage in corner kicks.
BC has scored at least two goals in three of its four games this season, including a season-high seven in its 7-1 season-opening victory over Siena.

A LOOK AT VERMONT


Vermont enters Thursday’s matchup with a 0-3-2 record after playing to a 1-1 draw at Stonehill on Aug. 30.
Kate Hawley scored Vermont’s lone goal in the 12th minute, with Aubrey Bough providing the assist.
The Catamounts have scored three goals through five games while allowing 10.
Hawley, Abby Ballinger and Farrah Yaacoub have each recorded two points on one goal this season, while Bough leads the team with two assists.
Sophia Kling has started four games in goal, recording 23 saves with a .767 save percentage and a 1.75 goals-against average.

SERIES HISTORY


Thursday marks the 17th all-time meeting between Boston College and Vermont.
The Eagles hold a 10-4-2 advantage in the all-time series.
BC has won the last four meetings between the two teams.
The most recent meeting came on March 26, 2022, with the Eagles earning a 2-1 victory.
