There were plenty of highlight-reel stoppages last night (Thurs., Aug. 21, 2025) at PFL 10 in Hollywood, Fla., but perhaps none more than memorable than Fabian Edwards’ violent finish over Dalton Rosta in the Middleweight championship main event.

For the first 2.5 rounds, Rosta and Edwards were engaged in a highly-competitive slug-fest, with both men pushing forward and connecting with nice shots. After all, both men had come too far and worked so hard to get to to the 185-pound finale, so there was no sense in letting the foot off the gas pedal now.

But with just over a minute gone in the third round, Edwards sized up Rosta and timed him perfectly to deliver a violent left head kick that put him out cold long before he hit the canvas. Though unnecessary, Edwards followed it up with one more shot to make sure the job was done.

The finish mirrored that of Leon Edwards — Fabian’s brother — head kick knockout win over Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 in the fifth round of their title fight which, coincidentally enough, earned “Rocky” his first-ever taste of major MMA gold. And wouldn’t you know it, Leon was the first person to the cage to jump into his brother’s arms to celebrate his huge win.

Its a huge milestone for Edwards, who gets his first taste of MMA gold after coming up short on two separate occasions against Johnny Eblen under the Bellator banner. To make his championship win even sweeter, Edwards will go home $500,000 richer and a major fight against recently-crowned division champion, Costello Van Steenis, who defeated him at Bellator Milan back in 2020.
