The most expensive home sold last month in Mississauga went for over the asking price.
The real estate market has been tough for sellers this summer.
Home prices remain lower than one year ago in the Greater Toronto Area. The average selling price in August, at $993,410, was down by 2.7 per cent compared to this time last year, according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s latest report.
Higher-end homes are selling, and a few sold for over the list price last month, according to real estate platform Zoocasa. However, all the most expensive homes sold went for under $3 million.

This place sold for $1,782,777, over the $1,699,000 list price.
