ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Returning eight members from its third-consecutive Patriot League Championship squad, the Navy women’s golf team kicks off the 2026-27 campaign on Monday when it travels to Grand Haven, Mich. to compete in the fifth annual Folds of Honor Collegiate.
 
Hosted by Michigan State and Florida State in association with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Folds of Honor, the three-day, 54-hole event is slated for Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 7-9, at the par-72 American Dunes Golf Club. Tee times for Monday and Wednesday begin at 7:30 a.m. while Tuesday is slated for a 12:30 p.m. tee time, as the tournament will broadcast live on Golf Channel, with simulcast on the Golf Channel’s digital platforms.

About the Tournament
Entering its fifth season, the Folds of Honor Collegiate includes many of the top programs in the country as well all three service academies, Division II powerhouses Findlay and Grand Valley State and two HBCUs … The 2026 season has the tournament field at 15 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams to reflect the Folds of Honor mission … Proceeds from the event will benefit the Folds of Honor, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit whose mission it is to provide back, through scholarships, to the families of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders.
 
The Course
American Dunes Golf Club, known as “the church Jack built,” is a living memorial for the sacrifices made by America’s service men and women that will see the legendary Jack Nicklaus himself in attendance … The facility, which is located a few hundred yards from the east shore of Lake Michigan, is a dunes-like course, utilizing the dramatic local topography and sand base that covers the property.
 
Three-Peat Complete
Led by Emma Tang earning individual medalist honors with a 4-over par 220, Navy shot a 32-over par 896 at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club three weeks ago, taking home the program’s third-straight and fourth-overall Patriot League Championship … Beating out runner-up Bucknell by 11 strokes, the Mids became the second team in Patriot League women’s golf history to three-peat … Tang became only the second athlete to repeat as a Patriot League women’s golf individual champion … Joining Tang on the All-Championship Team were Vivian Cressman, who finished tied for runner-up at 7-over par 223, and Hallie Brisco, who carded a 14-over par 230 to place sixth.
 
Tang Named Back-to-Back PL Golfer of the Year, Five Earn All-League
Emma Tang was named the Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Year for the second-straight season and was one of five Midshipmen to earn 2026 All-Patriot League selections … Tang, Keira Howard and Vivian Cressman all garnered a spot on the All-Patriot League First Team, while Megan Kirkpatrick nabbed second-team all-league distinction … Tang became the third athlete in Patriot League history to win back-to-back Women’s Golfer of the Year accolades and claimed her third-straight appearance on the all-league first team … It was also Howard and Kirkpatrick’s second-straight season earning all-league honors.
