A man in his 70s sustained “life-altering injuries” after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle at a Winnipeg intersection on Friday afternoon, police said.
Officers went to the intersection of McPhillips Street and Selkirk Avenue around 4 p.m. on Friday after a report of a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle, a Winnipeg police spokesperson Const. Claude Chancy said in an emailed statement to CBC News.
The motorcyclist — a man in his 70s — was taken to hospital in unstable condition. He was later upgraded to stable, but police said he sustained “life-altering injuries” from the crash.
A man in his 40s was driving the other vehicle. He stayed at the scene of the accident and spoke with officers, Chancy said.
The traffic division is still investigating the incident.
