Teens from Oshawa and Sudbury face attempted murder charges in connection with a Brampton shooting.
A man was shot multiple times in the Dawnridge Trail and Clifton Court area of Brampton in the evening of Oct. 19, 2025, Peel Regional Police said.
He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Today, police said two male teens were charged in connection with the shooting.
Lavontae Bowleg, a 19-year-old man from Sudbury, and a male from Oshawa who was 17 years old at the time of the offence, are charged with aggravated assault, attempted murder using a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, discharge firearm with intent and other firearm charges.
The 17-year-old can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both accused have been held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
“Gun violence has a lasting impact on victims and their families and tears apart the sense of safety in our communities,” said Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah. “That is why our investigators pursue each case thoroughly, and arrests like this underscore our ongoing commitment to accountability and protecting the people of Peel.”
