An arrest has been made following a string of robberies at Brampton retail stores.
Peel Regional Police say that between Aug. 14 and Aug. 24, a man entered the stores armed with a knife and demanded cash. Six establishments were targeted during the crime spree, and the suspect got away with money in five cases.
As a result of the investigation, Teepinder Singh Ghuman, a 22-year-old man from Brampton, was identified and arrested on Aug. 29.
Ghuman was charged with five counts of robbery, six counts of using a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, and attempt to commit an indictable offence.
Ghuman was held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
