Josh Hokit takes a shot at Alex Pereira, calling him a sore loser for taking constant shots at Ciryl Gane.
Alex Pereira once had a very heated rivalry with Israel Adesanya. However, that rivalry has now turned into a friendship. Since then, ‘Poatan’ has had no rivalry that has been as heated. Meanwhile, Josh Hokit has started tension between himself and Pereira by taking shots at him and insulting him at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference. Once again, the former NFL star has taken a shot at the former two division champion, and called him “sore loser.”
Josh Hokit labels Alex Pereira a sore loser
Recently, Michael Bisping called Pereira a sore loser after his loss to Ciryl Gane. He said the French fighter won the fight clearly, even though there were a few shots to the back of Pereira’s head. Bisping also praised ‘Poatan’ for his heart and what he brings to the UFC. But he feels Pereira complained too much after the loss and did not take it well.
Replying to the video, Hokit has also taken a shot at the Brazilian. He agreed with Michael Bisping and called Pereira a sore loser. Hokit said he liked ‘Poatan’ before joining the UFC but feels things changed after Pereira started making big money. He also took a shot at his reaction to Herb Dean, saying Pereira sees the referee as someone trying to stop him from getting his old tire shop back.
“100% with @bisping on this. Sore loser, pu**y, all the same. I liked Pereira before I got to the UFC, but you can’t dump life changing money on low IQ guys from third world countries and expect them to stay hardened. Westerners are built to conquer and climb the highest peak. Alex sees Herb Dean as the guy trying to keep him from buying back his old tire shop,” Hokit said.
Indeed, there are so many fans who feel he shouldn’t have been cut just because he wasn’t entertaining. As he was winning his fights, he didn’t deserve to be cut from the company. Meanwhile, former UFC stars like Muhammad Mokaev have taken a dig at the UFC over the same thing.
Josh Hokit Says Alex Pereira Doesn’t Deserve a Title Shot
Recently, the Brazilian star has called out Ciryl Gane, calling out for a rematch. To which, Hokit does not think a fight between them makes sense. He believes Pereira should fight Sergei Pavlovich instead, as Sergei is more of a striker and not as athletic as Gane. Hokit also feels ‘Poatan’ should get at least one win at heavyweight before getting another title shot.
“As a fan, that fight makes no fucking sense. I watched you get demolished. How about a more favorable match up like Sergei who is basically a striker & way less athletic than Ciryl. How about you get one fucking win in this weight class before you are gifted another title shot,” Hokit wrote on X.
Indeed, both are solid contenders and already have a big rivalry. If they ever meet inside the Octagon, it would be a very interesting fight for every fan.
