Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga is opening more than 30 new retail, dining and lounge locations inside its terminals in what it describes as a “landmark commercial expansion” designed to transform the experience for travellers.
The new businesses and restaurants, which combine to create what airport officials say is “a strong lineup of Canadian-owned, Toronto-founded and locally inspired brands alongside internationally recognized names,” are opening throughout 2026.
“For millions of travellers each year, Toronto Pearson is where journeys begin, connections are made and Canada comes to life,” Toronto Pearson CEO Deborah Flint said in a news release on Wednesday. “By continuing to evolve our retail and dining options, we are creating a sense of place that reflects the diversity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our country, while delivering an exceptional passenger experience.”
Airport officials added the dining, retail and lounge openings “create more opportunities for travellers to eat, shop and relax throughout the airport while providing Canadian and local businesses with a platform to connect with millions of visitors from around the world.”

Toronto Pearson Airport is Canada’s biggest and busiest air hub.
Pearson officials said the significant commercial expansion comes as Canada’s biggest and busiest airport “embarks on ambitious plans to modernize and prepare for future growth” through one of the largest airport infrastructure projects in Canadian history.
A creation of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, which runs Pearson, the airport’s multibillion-dollar Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals plan (Pearson LIFT) has been in the works for years and promises to modernize and expand Toronto Pearson over the next decade.
Part of the plan is a $1.5-billion undertaking to modernize Pearson’s two passenger terminals. The contracts for that major project were awarded in July.
The first phase of Pearson LIFT, a $3-billion investment in airside and baggage systems, was announced at a groundbreaking in May.
Pearson LIFT is a blueprint that spans more than a decade and invests billions of dollars in the airport “through several construction programs aimed at preparing Canada’s largest airport for the challenges and opportunities of the coming years and beyond,” GTAA officials said earlier.

New openings include some “homegrown favourites”
As for the ongoing commercial expansion at the airport, Pearson officials said on Wednesday the new openings “reflect Pearson’s commitment to delivering a more diverse, enjoyable and distinctly Canadian travel experience for passengers.”
They added the new spots include “homegrown favourites” like Roywoods, Muskoka Supply Co., Greetings from Toronto, Mary Brown’s Chicken, Dillon’s, Libretto Slice Shop and Kinton Ramen in addition to “premium global brands” such as Chanel and Ladurée.
Pearson said travellers will also see the introduction of a range of new dining concepts including Boulevard Pizza, OEB Kitchen + Bar, Pret A Manger, Real Fruit Bubble Tea and Brasa Peruvian Kitchen along with “elevated lounge and hospitality offerings” that include Wait N’ Rest private rooms and a new Plaza Premium Lounge opening.
