If you saw the videos and photos of a cougar running through Airdrie this evening and thought they were AI-generated, they were not.
According to Airdrie RCMP, they, along with Alberta Fish and Wildlife officers, responded Thursday after a cougar was spotted in Airdrie’s Luxstone neighbourhood around 7:30 p.m.
Officers responded to the area and dealt with the situation after it was found in a backyard. According to RCMP, the cougar was tranquillized and transported out west, where it will be released.
