Maybe the hockey team can throwback to how things were in 2011, too.

After Vancouver’s only remaining sports radio station went off the air earlier this year, Vancouver Canucks fans were left wondering where games might be broadcast.

It turns out it’ll be KiSS. KiSS Throwbacks, to be exact.

The Rogers-owned station, broadcasting on 104.9 FM, will broadcast games starting with the Sept. 19 preseason game in Seattle.

Brendan Batchelor will return with play-by-play, alongside Randip Janda, who was part of the team at Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi, which was also closed down this year.

“Very excited to get on the call with @BatchHockey  to bring you @Canucks  hockey on KiSS Throwbacks,” writes Janda on Twitter.

The games will be on 104.9 FM in Vancouver, as well as 92.5 FM in Abbotsford and 107.5 FM for the Fraser Valley and Chilliwack.

Rogers announced that Sportsnet 650 AM was shuttered in July after the station stopped broadcasting original content, and then announced Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi wouldn’t be returning after 18 years on the air in August.

The Canadian media company also announced earlier this summer that CBC would no longer have Hockey Night in Canada.
