Police have closed a stretch of road in a Brampton industrial area following an early morning fire.
The blaze broke out at an industrial unit on Rutherford Road South in the area of Clarence Street around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Peel Regional Police said in a post on social media.
No injuries were reported and police say Brampton Fire and Emergency Services firefighters extinguished the blaze by around 3:30 a.m. The fire was contained to one building and firefighters remained on the scene to monitor conditions, police say.
Police have closed Rutherford Road South between Clarence Street and Stafford Drive while emergency crews are on the scene.
Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
