The Whistler Golf Club is scheduled to reopen in July 2027 following a multi-million-dollar renovation aimed at improving the course’s aesthetics, safety and overall appeal.
The Arnold Palmer-designed venue first opened in 1983 and renovations are being helmed by golf course architect Thad Layton, formerly of Arnold Palmer Course Design.
This project includes redesigned tee complexes and updated bunkers, along with the realignment of greens on the third and 12th holes to improve sight lines and player safety. Fairways and greens will also be resurfaced, while cart paths are to be updated to improve movement and flow throughout the course.
“When we reopen…golfers will discover a course that feels distinctly Whistler while offering a more contemporary and welcoming experience,” general manager Alan Kristmanson said in a press release. “These improvements will elevate the course’s playability, beauty and safety while preserving the character that has made Whistler Golf Club special for more than four decades.”
