Badgers come up short in defensive duel with Western

The Brock Badgers men’s soccer team put forth a determined effort on the road in London, Ont., but were edged 2-0 by the Western Mustangs on Friday, Sept. 11, in a match highlighted by strong defensive performances at both ends of the pitch.
 
After a back and forth opening to the match, Western broke the deadlock in the 26th  minute, taking a 1-0 lead into the halftime break
 
Despite constant probing from the Badgers throughout the second half, Western’s second goal of the evening secured a victory for the Mustangs, despite Brock mounting pressure down the stretch.
 
Goalkeeper Taj Moore made two saves across the evening.
 
Up next, the Badgers return home looking for an immediate bounce back, as they clash with the McMaster Marauders at Alumni Filed on Sunday, Sept. 13. The game can be seen on OUA.tv.
