The National Ability Center on Saturday is holding its 18th annual Summit Challenge —Utah’s largest cycling event for people of all abilities, according to the organizers.
This year’s event at the sports field parking lot located below the National Ability Center at 600 Gillmor Way features an ’80s theme in commemoration of the nonprofit’s 40th anniversary. Participants can choose from multiple distance options, including a 1-mile Discovery Loop, 16-, 25-, 50-, 80- or 100-mile routes; all routes are fully supported.
There are also adaptive-rider-only routes of four and 7 miles. The National Ability Center also will host a vendor village featuring a variety of local vendors, along with an ice cream and barbecue food truck.
Cycling event will being at 7 a.m. with the 100-miler, and the vendor village will be open from 11 a.m. to 4p.m.
