The Points Race closed out the night on Friday. On the men’s side, Fred Meredith (Indianapolis, Ind.; Marian University) took a commanding lead after gaining three laps to win the event with 108 points. Preston Eye (Demorest, Ga.; Piedmont University) secured silver, and Alejandro Che (Torrance, Calif.; California State University, Dominguez Hills) earned bronze. The points were close in the women’s race with Sabo and Mairen Lawson (Indianapolis, Ind.; Marian University) battling for the top spot. By a margin of just two points, Sabo claimed the Stars and Stripes. Lawson earned silver, and Claire Pekarek (Grand Junction, Colo.; Colorado Mesa University) secured bronze.
