You can learn more about coyotes, their behaviour and what to do if you run into one during a public information session coming up in Whitby.
It’s set for Tuesday, September 29 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the Centennial Building at 416 Centre Street South.
The town and Coyote Watch Canada are teaming up for the event.
It comes after a rise in coyote incidents in Whitby, including an unprovoked attack that injured at two-year-old.
Whitby Mayor Elizabeth Roy is also hosting her annual community safety roundtable the same day and she says coyote safety has been added to the agenda.
