A female driver has been rushed to hospital in critical condition, and police have closed a busy Brampton intersection following a crash on Monday.
The collision happened around 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of Chinguacousy Road and Sandalwood Parkway West in Brampton, Peel Regional Police says.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, and police say a female driver was transported to a local trauma centre with critical injuries.
Peel police have closed the intersection of Chinguacousy Road and Sandalwood Parkway West while emergency crews are on the scene. Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
Police have not said how long the closures are expected to be in place.
