Another major golf resort is coming to Nova Scotia.

Cabot has announced plans for Cabot Wilds, a 2,500-acre development in Collingwood Corner, just outside Oxford in Cumberland County.

The centrepiece will be an 18-hole golf course designed by Canadian architect Jeff Mingay, running through forests, blueberry fields and along the River Philip.

The development will also include dining, residential properties and other outdoor recreation.

Cabot says golfers are expected to begin playing the course in 2027.

The project is being developed in partnership with Nova Scotia businessman John Bragg and his family, founders of Oxford Frozen Foods.

It will become Cabot’s second major destination in Nova Scotia.

The company established its reputation in Inverness, Cape Breton, where it operates Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, along with the shorter Nest course, accommodations and other resort amenities.

The Oxford announcement also comes less than a year after another proposed Cabot expansion in Cape Breton was rejected.

Cabot had proposed building an 18-hole course and golf shop on part of West Mabou Beach Provincial Park.

The plan faced significant opposition from residents and environmental groups before the province announced in November 2025 that it would not move forward.

Premier Tim Houston said at the time the proposal was not in the best interests of Nova Scotians.

Cabot Wilds is instead being built on privately owned land in Cumberland County.
