Limp Bizkit and Avatar will join the iconic metal band.
One of the world’s biggest bands — in any genre — will play a show in Vancouver next spring.
Metallica’s original trio formed in 1981, but found commercial success with their 1991 hit single “Enter Sandman.” Since then, they have amassed a loyal fanbase, selling out massive arenas virtually anywhere on earth.
And the local show at BC Place will likely sell out quickly, as the popular group hasn’t played here in almost a decade, with the last show in 2017 (see photo gallery).
The metal band will play a show in Vancouver on May 8, 2027, as part of a dozen new cities added to their M72 World Tour. They’ve already played an impressive 99 shows in 26 countries since its April 2023 kick-off, according to a press release.
The tour is slated to conclude June 19, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Since its 2023 launch, the M72 World Tour has been lauded as the “best of the band’s 40+ years of traversing the globe, with nearly five million members of the Metallica family having attended.”
Limp Bizkit and Avatar will join Metallica on its North American run.
Tickets will go on sale to the Fan Club starting Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. Local presale happens on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general sale starting Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m.
