A 10 POINTS LIST OF THIS WEEKS “BIG WINNING” FOR THE US!
another sharp insight of last week’s happenings by Dean Blundell on Substack.
it’s a 10min read, so I’ll get to the European/Canadian article here and leave it up to you to go trough the link, it’s really worth your time, a sharp article!
1 CANADA ACCEPTED THE EU’S INVITE, AND CARNEY GUTTED TRUMP IN STRASBOURG WITHOUT SAYING HIS NAME
The MAGA/Trump Death Rattle Is Getting Loud.
Here’s what the numbers told this week, and they’ve been telling the same thing for a month now. This is the death rattle. Not the finish, the rattle, which is the loudest and ugliest part, and the part where the people running this regime are the most dangerous they’ve ever been. A convicted felon president is watching his last friend on earth walk out the door, his economy go over an energy cliff, his own appointees turn on him, and his own party start filing paperwork against his cabinet. Cornered animals don’t get polite.Canada made its choice this week in front of 27 democracies and got a standing ovation. America gets to make its own in six weeks. Here’s the tale of the tape.
1️⃣ CANADA ACCEPTED THE EU’S INVITE, AND CARNEY GUTTEDSAYING HIS NAME.
Two men, one day. One of them is in the European Parliament getting selfies and a standing ovation, an MEP wearing a Canadian jersey on the chamber floor, giving a speech about oak trees, freedom and critical minerals. The other is sweating on a tarmac in North Carolina, calling Canada a terrible trade partner and threatening 27 democracies with tariffs for the crime of liking us.Carney never said his name. He said dominance is the arrogance of the hegemon, then explained, as the guy who ran two G7 central banks, that a bully’s leverage collapses long before the smaller partner is fully independent. That’s the whole plan. We don’t replace the American market. We build enough other doors that slamming one stops being a threat. The old relationship is dead. Nobody’s coming in 2029 with flowers.

2️⃣ THE EU MADE CANADA ITS FIRST ASSOCIATE MEMBER IN HISTORY. TRUMP JUST LOST 214,000 JOBS AND A TRILLION DOLLARS.
Von der Leyen proposed a category that has never existed for any country on earth, and Brussels is inventing it from scratch because none of the old boxes fit. LNG and hydrogen through new High North and East Coast ports. Thirty-four critical minerals wired into Europe’s new raw materials corporation. Erasmus+ and Horizon so Canadian kids study in Lyon, Munich and Warsaw instead of Boston.EU leaders land in Montreal October 29 and 30 to write the details. Then Parliament debates and votes on it, the way a real country does things. You can’t un-pour concrete. These are 40 and 50 year assets with European buyers signed for decades. Nobody rips out a deepwater terminal in Newfoundland because Pennsylvania changes its mind in 2028.👉

3️⃣ CANADA IS JOINING EUROPE AS A FOUNDER, NOT A GUEST, AND IT’S BEEN BUILDING FOR 18 MONTHSThis did not start last week. Nine months ago, Canada became the first non-European country brought inside SAFE, the EU’s €150 billion defence procurement instrument. Canadian firms, Canadian capacity, Canadian industry plugged straight into the biggest European rearmament since 1945.Every move Washington made was supposed to bring us to heel. Every one did the opposite. Canadians cancelled Florida. Canadians pulled Kentucky whisky off the shelves before anyone in government asked them to. Canadians elected a central banker specifically because he looked like the guy least likely to flinch.Eighty-one percent of us want closer integration with Europe. Alberta is at 75%. Asked who we have more in common with, 56% said Europe. Sixteen percent said the United States.

it’s really interesting!
We’ll get straight to the point: The financial hardships that Daily Kos is facing this year are tough.
