Angel Reese just became the first member of the ‘500 rebounds in a single WNBA season’ club and fans online are loving it.

The Atlanta Dream added an extremely comfortable win against the Chicago Sky to their tally for the season on Saturday night.

The team won 106-81, a resounding victory that makes their focus and determination clear as the playoffs approach. And playing against the franchise that drafted her, Angel Reese had herself a game.

The 24-year-old became the first-ever WNBA star to grab 500 rebounds in a single season. And the feat has been enough for Reese to be earning a lot of praise online.

Reese put in a monster all-around performance. Not only did she get a double-double as she so often does, she also added four assists, three blocks, and two steals.

“Angel has been the subject of criticism throughout her time in the league, but after her latest achievement, even all her doubters must acknowledge her abilities.

“Right now she’s a top 5 player in the WNBA. Period,” one fan said. “Idk about y’all but I wouldn’t mind if they gave Angel the MVP,” claimed another.

“I told y’all she would do it. Congratulations, Angel Reese,” a third fan said. “This accolade is extremely well-deserved,” a different comment read.

I may not like Reese very much, but she has turned into a peerless rebounder. That is not to be underestimated at all,” a fifth fan posted.

It will all come down to the playoffs for the younger W stars who are trying to establish themselves as the face of the league. For now, though, Reese has earned the right to celebrate.
