Grey Bruce OPP charged a Brampton resident who allegedly threatened a flagger at a construction site in Markdale on Sept. 14.
Police were called about 3:44 p.m. after a flag person was threatened while working on Toronto Street, a segment of which is being rebuilt.
The Brampton driver, who had been stopped in traffic due to the construction, “became increasingly agitated while waiting. The individual exited their vehicle on multiple occasions and approached the flag person to complain about the delay,” a police news release said.
“During the interactions, the individual’s behaviour escalated, and threats of harm were directed toward the flag person.”
Police charged Aisha Bibi, 31, of Brampton, with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and with obstruct peace officer. Charges are set to be spoken to on Dec. 10 in Owen Sound criminal court.
