Seeking frontcourt reinforcements, the Knicks have attempted to move forward Pacome Dadiet on the trade market. According to reports, rival teams have shown no interest in the French youngster, with the Hornets recently turning down a potential swap for Moussa Diabate.
The New York Knicks are looking to add a center after Mitchell Robinson left in free agency following their 2026 NBA title run.
While the Knicks have signed Andre Drummond, the veteran center has served a backup role the past few years and isn’t expected to fully fill the void left by Robinson’s departure.
In the effort to acquire a center, the New York team has reportedly been trying to trade young French forward, Pacome Dadiet, but the player has little value and does not interest other teams, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.
“Dadiet has no value. Knicks would need to attach draft capital to get rid of his expiring contract.” Bondy claimed.
“[Knicks] tried to trade for Hornets C Moussa Diabate in offseason but, according to a source, Hornets didn’t want Dadiet.”

Dadiet was drafted by the New York Knicks in the 2024 NBA Draft with the 25th overall pick.
The French forward has had limited time on the main New York roster, playing just 47 games over two seasons with the team.
Last season, he averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds while playing 4.7 minutes per game.
Dadiet has had more success with the Westchester Knicks in the G League, as last season in 15 appearances he averaged 23.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals.
Before coming to the NBA, the 21-year-old spent time with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany and with Paris Basketball in France.
