IN GIRLS SOCCER…
The Sequim Wolves face a major test tonight when they host Bainbridge.
The young Wolves deserve plenty of credit for rallying from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 tie against North Mason. But Sequim needed a win to keep pace with North Kitsap in the league standings.
Following tonight’s matchup, the Wolves travel to Port Angeles Thursday for their rivalry showdown with the Roughriders.
Meanwhile, Port Angeles looks to continue its success against North Kitsap tonight. The Riders beat the Vikings twice in three meetings last season and would like to create some separation between themselves, Bainbridge and the rest of the league.
The 5-1-and-1 Roughriders have developed a dangerous scoring trio.
Emma Desjardins has 30 career goals, Mariah Traband has 23, and Lilly Anne Lancaster has 16. Traband also leads the group with an impressive 19 career assists.
