MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Jake Garcia’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series breakthrough may have opened the door to his biggest opportunity yet.

Front Row Motorsports announced Tuesday that Garcia will take over the organization’s No. 38 Ford beginning with the 2027 season, joining one of the series’ most successful teams as it looks to continue competing for race wins and championships.

The 21-year-old Georgia native arrives at FRM after making steady progress through his Truck Series career. In 95 starts, Garcia has compiled one victory, six top-five finishes, 29 top-10s and five poles, highlighted by his first series win earlier this month at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Garcia dominated that race, leading 104 of 250 laps to secure the milestone victory and strengthen his résumé as one of the series’ rising young drivers.

“We’re excited to have Jake join us next season,” FRM general manager Jerry Freeze said. “He displayed it at Bristol, and over his entire Truck Series career, he has the talent, abilities and personal motivation to keep our No. 38 team at the top of the heap and continue to help FRM set the bar in the series.”

Freeze said the organization believes Garcia can build on the success already associated with the No. 38 truck.

“We’re confident in what Jake brings to the table, and we look forward to seeing him put in the work during the offseason, to get ready for 2027,” Freeze said.

Garcia takes over a ride that has become one of the Truck Series’ premier seats. Front Row Motorsports has collected 23 victories and a series championship since launching its Truck program, with current Cup Series driver Zane Smith delivering the team’s 2022 title.

The No. 38 team has remained a contender this season, earning victories at Daytona and North Wilkesboro while helping place both FRM entries in the Truck Series playoffs.

For Garcia, the move represents a chance to contend for wins on a more consistent basis.

“I’m very thankful to get the opportunity to compete for Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series,” Garcia said. “They are one of the top teams in the series and have proven that their equipment can win any given week, no matter the track.”

Garcia thanked team owner Bob Jenkins and Freeze for the opportunity and expressed confidence in the organization’s championship potential.

“With their support, I think that I can continue to build upon the success that other drivers have had in the No. 38 truck and be a contender for the title in 2027,” Garcia said.

Garcia will not be making the move alone. Quanta Services will join him as a primary sponsor on the No. 38 Ford, providing backing for a driver-team partnership that both sides hope can become a championship contender.

His debut with Front Row Motorsports is scheduled for Feb. 19 at Daytona International Speedway, which will open the 2027 Truck Series season.
