Hurry-up. Hurry-up. Hurry-up.
That’s what defensive end James Vaughters and his Saskatchewan Roughriders teammates are likely going to see in Friday’s CFL game: A “hurry-up,” “tempo” or “no-huddle” offence conducted by Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr.
Saskatchewan’s defence has been on fast-forward during recent practices, highly aware the Stampeders saw B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke control last week’s game with a hurry-up offence that caught the visitors scrambling to make personnel changes and send in the right calls while tiring the defenders.
