Let’s start with Ciccone.
We’re in the final stages of this transfer saga, but it’s increasingly likely that Ciccone will leave Lidl-Trek at the end of the season, with our sources saying the team is willing to let the rider depart.
As we understand it, no deal has been officially signed, but sources say the German team has agreed to sanction the Italian’s departure, with Pinarello Q36.5 the most likely squad to pick up the 31-year-old on a multi-year deal. Reports ahead of the World Championships in Canada suggested that Ciccone had a three-year deal waiting for him at Tom Pidcock’s ever-improving team.

Ciccone signed a new deal with Lidl-Trek over the winter and is currently on the team’s books until the end of 2029, but since the team’s management transition and the departure of general manager Luca Guercilena, the rider has been linked with a move away.
