ROSES AND ROTTEN TOMATOES: ‘Rotten and rancid tomatoes’ to David Eby for the snap election

Published 7:00 am Saturday, October 3, 2026

• A huge pile of rotten and rancid tomatoes to B.C. Premier David Eby for calling an unnecessary and expensive snap election, purely for selfish reasons. He is aware that the B.C. Conservatives are in chaos and in the process of restructuring. He thinks he has the advantage of winning the provincial election. I have news for you, Premier Eby, everyone that I spoke to is upset with you for calling a snap election and they aren’t going to vote for you. It’s dirty politics. Shame, shame on you and your provincial NDP.

• Roses: A big thank you to Guru Nanak temple for initiating a cleanup of the empty lot by the temple. The planting of the cedar hedge is a great plan.

• Trash cans full of rotten tomatoes to the people that don’t close their trash bins. The birds and squirrels get in and spread the garbage all over the road, and the owners don’t pick it up after the bins are dumped.

• Rotten Tomatoes to the candidate for mayor that wants another hospital in Surrey. Are you not aware how short all hospitals are of doctor and nurse positions every day in every hospital in B.C.? We need seniors long-term care homes to get seniors out of hospital beds, out of ER.

• Rotten Tomatoes to all candidates running for Surrey mayor, councillors and school board – if you have someone deliver flyers, tell them to place them in the mailbox. We are not voting for anyone who shoves their flyer in the door.
