St. Louis Blues
Alexey Toropchenko is out at least six weeks because of an upper-body injury, the Blues announced Sunday.
The forward was injured in the second period of their season opener Friday, a 4-0 win at the Dallas Stars. Toropchenko was behind the net when he was hit by two Stars players into the glass with 16:32 remaining in the period. He did not return to the game and then missed a 6-1 loss at the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
Toropchenko had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 65 games for St. Louis last season.
The Blues visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
