TROIS-RIVIÈRES — After eight years at the helm, the governing Coalition Avenir Québec was razed from Quebec’s electoral map in a crushing defeat Monday night.
“The result is clearly not what we had hoped for,” CAQ Leader Christine Fréchette told the crowd gathered at a hotel conference room in Trois-Rivières.
“As leader, I take full responsibility for it. Not our candidates, not our supporters, not our volunteers. Me.”
