TAMPA, Fla. (August 23, 2025) – The University of South Florida women’s soccer team will take to the pitch inside Corbett Stadium for the home opener against Colorado State on Sunday. The Bulls (1-2) and the Rams (2-0) are scheduled for a 1 p.m. first touch on ESPN+. Fans will want to arrive early on Sunday to receive a vuvuzela while supplies last.
Setting the Stage
The Bulls enter Sunday’s contest with a 1-2 record and look to bounce back into the win column. South Florida is 15-3-1 inside Corbett Stadium over the last two seasons. The Rams bring a 2-0 record to Tampa. Colorado State defeated Stetson 3-0 on Thursday.
Note-A-Bulls:
Hedda Ornberg picked up her first goal in the Green and Gold. With her goal against UCF, South Florida has scored a goal in 10 of the last 11 matches.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF’s first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program’s records.
