Have your say: Upgrades coming to South Surrey bike park

If you have ideas or input about upgrades to the South Surrey Bike Park, the City of Surrey wants to know.

The city is planning for a new bike feature at the bike park, which previously had a dirt jump and pump track that served riders across the community.

Those features were temporarily removed to accommodate Metro Vancouver’s construction of new water infrastructure at Sunnyside Reservoir, which is located at South Surrey Athletic Park, where the bike park is also located.

“We want to hear what you’d like to see, so we can build a feature that reflects the interests and needs of the community,” the city shared on its website.

The city is planning the replacement bike park feature and is looking for input from the community to help shape its design and features.

A public engagement survey will be available from Monday, Oct. 12 to Nov. 2.

The city will review the public’s feedback through the fall, with the design and construction expected to follow.

Hiring a contractor for the design and build is set for the spring/summer of 2027, according to the city’s site.
