Local worship ministry, Palace of Praise, hosted a worship night on Sunday evening at The Park Theatre in Osborne Village. The free and public event saw over 50 attendees join in worship, praise, and prayer.
The theme of the evening was ‘Alpha and Omega’ referencing Jesus’ headship as the beginning and end in Revelations 22. Several local ministry leaders gathered to lead in word and song as the night progressed.
“We’re raising an altar of worship our city and one of the things we know is worship can bring about change,” says Emmanuel Owo, POP director, about the purpose of the night. “The goal of tonight is as we raise worship that God would bring healing into our city.”
Similar sentiments were shared by other ministry partners.
“The goal of today is for Jesus to be revealed, Jesus to be believed, and Jesus to be glorified,” says Esther, a worship singer at the event. “That every soul that comes in here will be saved.

“Our goal is to have meetings in places where people that are far from Christ can actually attend,” says Owo. “There are some people that will not come into our churches no matter how creative our sound is or how bright our lights are.”
He continues about how the ministry has a heart specifically for the lost.
Owo says, “Those are the people God has sent to go and evangelize to. Speak to them about Jesus using worship music.”
With more than a local focus, Palace of Praise, wants to proclaim the name of Jesus globally.
“Our vision is to take the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth,” says Owo.
Through their various outreaches Owo shares, the heart of the ministry remains, “To make people come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.”
