A property owner’s discovery of a suspect inside a secured commercial compound led to a police drone search and an arrest in Portage la Prairie, with a Winnipeg man now facing multiple charges.
Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to a business on 4th Avenue Northeast around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 after receiving a report of a break and enter in progress.
Police say the property owner found a man inside the secured compound after several vehicles had been damaged and attempts had been made to steal a motorcycle.
Police also found a stolen truck and flatbed trailer parked near the business and linked them to the suspect, who the property owner chased from the scene.
