The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently published an enforcement report stating that on September 18, Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc. of East Windsor, NJ, issued an ongoing voluntary nationwide recall for 112,932 bottles of acetaminophen sold on Amazon. The recall occurred after “consumer complaints received for discolored tablets,” as the FDA noted in the report.

The acetaminophen is designated as extra strength and comes in 500-mg caplets, more specifically. It’s used as a pain reliever and fever reducer.

The FDA report didn’t state whether any illnesses or injuries have been linked to the recalled medication so far. According to People, which got a statement from Amazon, a Health Hazard Evaluation concluded that the medication’s safety or efficacy is not impacted by the discoloration.
