Wall Street may be asleep at the wheel on modeling out a more AI-fueled Meta (META) business model.
Despite Meta’s barrage of product drops since September, analyst estimates for the balance of 2026 and 2027 haven’t done much, according to Yahoo Finance data. In fact, earnings estimates for 2026 and 2027 have trended sharply lower for the past 90 days.
“We think Street estimates embed limited contribution from Meta’s emerging AI offerings (advertising, subscriptions or capacity leasing) and successful monetization of incremental capacity (3GW+ in 2026, 6GW in 2027) should likely drive upside to 2027/28 estimates,” BofA analyst Justin Post said.
Meta officially launched its newest frontier AI systems, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, in the past week. The models are engineered specifically for multistep reasoning, coding, and autonomous personal agent workflows.
They are the first new models from Meta’s new Superintelligence Labs. So far, they are receiving high praise for their speeds compared to the likes of OpenAI’s (OPAI.PVT) GPT-6 and Anthropic’s (ANTH.PVT) Claude Opus 5.5, spurring optimism on the ability for Meta to compete for big enterprise business in the AI boom.
“Releasing a frontier level model just 16 months after formation of Super Intelligence Labs is a meaningful accomplishment, in our view, and should help maintain positive sentiment on Meta’s recent AI initiatives,” Post said.
Meanwhile, the Muse AI agent — released in September — brings back 73% of new users the day after they install it, according to new analysis from Sensor Tower. This is almost twice the rate of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. But Muse loses users quickly, and ChatGPT jumps ahead between days eight and nine.
Even so, Muse retains a solid number of users — enough to keep it in second place behind ChatGPT.
Daily active users for Muse keep climbing, hitting 2.182 million on Oct. 5, according to the latest data from Similarweb. Usage has risen steadily throughout October.
Deutsche Bank analyst Benjamin Black sees Muse reaching up to 8% of Meta’s revenue by 2030, which nets out to roughly $36 billion in sales for the product. On the lower end of the prediction scale, Black sees Muse pulling in sales of $2.4 billion by 2030.
