In a significant development involving a murder case in Toronto, Leeroy Chikonyora, 31, has been arrested in Nova Scotia by the RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment. Chikonyora is charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice in the death of 34-year-old Christopher Gordon. The incident occurred in a Toronto Community Housing building near Flemington Road and Blossomfield Drive, where Gordon was found with traumatic injuries on October 4th.

Despite attempts to save his life, Gordon was pronounced dead, marking Toronto’s 30th homicide of the year. The arrest follows an ongoing investigation where police discovered Gordon’s body in a North York residence. Some individuals fled the scene before police arrived, leaving the motive for Gordon’s presence at the location unclear. Meanwhile, a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Cody Rudifo, 32, of Timmins, who is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. Toronto police urge the public not to approach Rudifo but to contact 911 if he is spotted.
